Warranty programs


AMT Datasouth Corporation warrants its thermal printers against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years (except thermal printheads which are warranted for a period of twelve (12) months) from the date of shipment from AMT Datasouth. If the original end-user submits a Warranty information card and proof-of-purchase (invoice or packing slip), the warranty will be from date of purchase by the end-user.

 

NOTE: Expendable and/or consumable items or parts such as lamps, fuses, medias and ribbons are not covered under this warranty. This limited warranty is given in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied including the warranties of mechanical and fitness for a particular purpose. AMT Datasouth will not be liable under any circumstances for incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits. In the event of failure during the warranty period, the end-user should first contact the reseller from whom the printer was purchased regarding the reseller’s Warranty Repair procedures. During the warranty period, AMT Datasouth or an Authorized Service Center will repair (or at its option replace) at no charge, components that prove to be defective if the product is returned (properly packed) to AMT Datasouth or Authorized Service Center.

 

NOTE: If the product must be returned to AMT Datasouth for warranty service, AMT Datasouth will issue the end-user a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. This number must appear on the outside of the box when it arrives at AMT Datasouth. Items returned without Return Material Authorization (RMA) numbers appearing on the outside of the box will be assessed a handling charge. Customers are responsible for the freight charges to AMT Datasouth. AMT Datasouth will ship the repaired unit back to the Customer freight paid via UPS ground.

 

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ANY DAMAGE DUE TO ACCIDENT, MISUSE, ABUSE, NEGLIGENCE, OR FAILURES THAT RESULT FROM IMPROPER MAINTENANCE, INSTALLATION, REPAIRS, OR IMPROPER USE OF MEDIA. AMT DATASOUTH RESERVES THE RIGHT TO LIMIT WARRANTY ON PRODUCTS USED IN EXCESS OF THEIR RATED DUTY CYCLES.
