Limited Printer Warranty

AMT Datasouth warrants its printers against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year (except thermal printheads which are warranted for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days) from the date of shipment from AMT Datasouth. For M-series and FM4600plus models, the period is (2) years, and (1) year on printheads. For Accel models, the period is (1) year. If the original end-user submits an AMT Datasouth Warranty information card and proof-of-purchase (invoice or packing slip), the warranty will be from date of purchase by the end-user. Purchased parts, and service repairs and warrantied for 90-days.

NOTE:

Expendable and/or consumable items or parts such as fuses, media, printheads, and ribbons are not covered under this warranty. This limited warranty is given in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. AMT Datasouth will not be liable under any circumstances for incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits.

In the event of failure during the warranty period, the end-user should first contact the reseller from whom the printer was purchased regarding the reseller’s Warranty Repair procedures. Should the reseller refer you to AMT Datasouth directly, call our east coast service center at 1-800-476-2450 for technical assistance.

During the warranty period, AMT Datasouth or an Authorized Service Center will repair (or at its option, replace) at no charge, components that prove to be defective if the product is returned (shipping prepaid and properly packed) to AMT Datasouth or Authorized Service Center.

 

NOTE:

If the product must be returned to AMT Datasouth for warranty service, AMT Datasouth will issue the end-user a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. This number must appear on the box when it arrives at AMT Datasouth. Items returned without Return Material Authorization (RMA) numbers appearing on the outside of the box will be assessed a handling charge.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ANY DAMAGE DUE TO ACCIDENT, MISUSE, ABUSE, NEGLIGENCE, OR FAILURES THAT RESULT FROM IMPROPER MAINTENANCE, INSTALLATION, REPAIRS, OR IMPROPER USE OF MEDIA. DATASOUTH RESERVES THE RIGHT TO LIMIT WARRANTY ON PRODUCTS USED IN EXCESS OF THEIR RATED DUTY CYCLES.
